Does it cost me anything?

No. Best Insure and your adviser are free to use — the insurer pays the adviser's commission — and your premium is the same as going direct to the insurer. The race entry is on top, not instead of a better price.

When do I get the entry?

After your private medical insurance policy has been in force for three consecutive months. That's simply to make sure the policy is a genuine one, not a sign-up-and-cancel.

What if I'd rather not race?

That's fine — the offer is optional and there's no cash alternative. You'll still get the same whole-of-market comparison and free advice on your health cover.

Does the policy cover race injuries?

Cover for sports injuries varies by insurer and by policy — some include musculoskeletal and physiotherapy pathways as standard, others as an add-on, and pre-existing conditions are usually excluded. Tell your adviser that you take part in obstacle racing and they'll compare the policies that treat it properly.

Free entry covers one standard individual entry to a UK Tough Mudder, Spartan Race or HYROX event, up to £150, for one policyholder per eligible private medical insurance policy. The policy must be arranged through Best Insure's introduced FCA-regulated adviser and remain in force (premiums paid) for at least three consecutive months. Entry is claimed by emailing us your policy number and chosen event; we pay the entry fee directly or reimburse it on proof of purchase. Subject to event availability, the organiser's own terms and your own fitness to take part. Not available on policies cancelled within the 30-day cooling-off period, and it cannot be exchanged for cash. Offer may be withdrawn or amended at any time.
